Opening the shoulders - the most important and simultaneously probably the most elusive movement pattern in handstands.
We have worked a lot on it during your previous courses.
And we will start this course by brushing off our skills with the good dog bad dog.
Since you know how to do this drill, we are going to pay attention to very important details you may have overlooked in the past.
  1. The shoulders can’t move from their initial position (1st axis)
  1. Travel through the full Rom
  1. Gradually peel the foot off
  1. prepare the fingers before the take-off
  1. Fight for balance
  1. Be super tense to keep the functional shape alive

Exercice B) Piked variation

Flexible people, beware (step 1) ⚠️
This is your first invitation to check if you’re leading the good dog bad dog with your pelvis, instead of your shoulders. Leave that pelvis alone, in its neutral position. Film yourself. Look at the footage in between reps.
If need be, even PPT your pelvis for now to ensure that your shoulders are driving this bus!

Wobbly friends, beware ⚠️
This is also an invitation to make some foundations perfect. Tension missing in the legs as you take-off is usually a big factor that makes us fall.
