As a green belt, you can freeze on demand (or almost!).
Tensing the legs systematically as hard as possible is probably obsolete at that stage.
Tension isn’t just a tool to help but freeze and keep the legs in check… it should become something you regulate as you navigate forward and backwards in the balancing zone.
Eventually… you will want to spend less calories holding yourself upside down: less tension, less effort BUT just as little movement in your legs.
